Sizing: Same sizing as previous batches and retails. Go TTS for a relaxed fit (or if you have wide feet) or half-size down for a tighter fit. I personally go TTS and I'm happy.
Pattern: Honestly the pics speak for themselves. This is almost 1:1, especially on the sides. The toebox needs a bit more detail in a couple of parts, especially next to the stitching on the left side (facing the shoes). Other than that, there is just NO WAY anyone can call these out just by looking at them.
Some people might say the new PK version has a better pattern. That might be true for the toebox, but I still think their pattern is way too straight on the sides and looks strange. There should be a slight curve and David's version has it while theirs does not.
Shape: 95% nailed it. The toebox bulges out properly but doesn't wrinkle as much as retails. This is due to the material used, which I'll cover later. The rest of the shape is pretty much there. Foot opening looks fine, tip goes up as much as it should, back of the midsole is still less pointy than retails but such a minor amount that its barely worth mentioning. Ridges go up to the top, as they should.
Material: One complaint we all had about the 6th and 7th batches was that the knit material was too stiff and rough. These are better. Not by a huge amount, mind you, but they feel slightly smoother and it's floppier. It does not crease weirdly around the lace holes like it did on the 7th and once you lace them up the extra material at the top is the same amount as on the real ones. So yeah, definitely an improvement, but still some ways to go in terms of smoothness and how stretchy it should be. See how the toebox on retails wrinkles along the middle sitching if you look at them from the side? Thats due to how strethy and malleable the knit is.
Comfort: I haven't worn these yet so I can't be 100% sure if the issue with the ankle scraping has been fixed. However I did put them on and they felt fine. Boost is squishy as always, material is not rough on the foot and it does seem like the ankle issue might be fixed, but I can't be certain.
Color: The knit color is spot on. The suede patch is still too bright green but you can darken it with baby oil. I haven't tried it but apparently it works.
The laces should have a bit more contrast to their pattern but this is just nitpicking. The midsole is slightly shinier than retails too.
Conclusion: We're up to 8 versions now and we finally have something that we could call "almost 1:1". There are still a couple of things to fix, so if you're on the fence I'm sure there will be a 9th version at some point soon. That said, it's hard not to recommend these to someone that's looking for a good pair of Yeezy reps.
